Abstract
The key upstream strategy of pertamina exploration & production (PEP) is to try to leverage its legacy acreage in joint ventures, re-engineering, re-structuring, re-capitaling and develop the human resources with high quality of work life (QWL) to maintain and increase the employee work spirits, especially at the pertamina rantau (PEP Rantau) as a frontier operation unit of PEO. The main purpose of this research was an explanation research and was conducted answer two main hypotheses as follows: (1) the QWL variables which comprise: work restructing, compensation system, and work environment to be significant influence towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee, and (2) the compensation system to be dominantly influence towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee. The research subjects were 64 employees of PEP Rantau. The hypotheses were test using regresi linear analysis for 1 test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for F test at the statistical product service solution (SPSS) computer program. The result of F test (simultaneous test) indicates that among those variables namely: work restructuring, compensation system, and work environment was proved to be significant (probability 0,026<0,05) influences towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee. ANd the result of t test (partial test) indicates that the compensation system factor was not proved to be dominantly influence towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee. In summary, this research proves that QWL variables namely: work restructuring, compensation system and work environment to be significant towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee. But the compensation system factor not proves to be dominantly influence towards work spirits of PEP Rantau employee.
