Abstract

Jabon Mekar village is well-known by people as a buffer zone of Jakarta and subject of the urban development, and due to the increasing number of the urbant development in Jakarta, it is concerned that this will have an effect to the function of home-garden. The aim of the research is to study the use, potential riches, and traditionally medicinal plants diversity at home-garden of community in the village of Jabon Mekar. The research was located at Jabon Mekar village, subdistrict of Parung, Bogor regency. The methods used for vegetation analysis were the quadrate method to find density, frequency, dominance, and important index value of plant species The result of the research found 98 species of traditionally medicinal plants from 86 genus, and 52 families. From all traditionally medicinal of plants, there are 7 species as the main compositer of the community at home-garden i.e. Musa sp., Ageratum houstonianum, Durio zibethinus, Cocos nucifera, Manihot esculenta, Artocarpus heterophyllus, and Borreria alata. It was found also that the diversity of traditionally medicinal plant species at home-garden was at the high level, and found 52 kinds diseases can medicined treatment by traditionally medicinal of plan.
