Abstract

This study is one of evaluation media upon the post policy organizational restructuring at Directorate General of Taxes of Republic Indonesia and modernizing the administration system of taxation which was held in the Pratama Tax Office (KPP Pratama) Tanjung Pinang. This research was conducted to determine whether the compensation, organizational culture and leadership had an influence on employee''s work motivation. These three aspects are expected to be managed to increase employee''s work motivation. This research is descriptive quantitative. The study was conducted to answer the three hypotheses, namely: (1) there is an influence in compensation to the employee motivation KPP Pratama Tanjung Pinang, (2) there is an influence of organizational culture on employee motivation KPP Pratama Tanjung Pinang, (3) there is an influence of leadership on employee motivation KPP Pratama Tanjung Pinang. The subjects of this research were all employees of the Pratama Tax Office Tanjung Pinang, amounting to 52 people at different positions. This study uses population data and census sampling techniques. The research instrument in the form of questionnaires used to measure the perceptions of respondents using a Likert scale model While the data collection procedure is done through a survey of all employees where the employee is given a questionnaire with a closed model (alternative to the respondent''s answer has been provided). To obtain valid and reliable data, our first step is conducted tests on samples of research instruments. Data obtained from the results of this study were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. The results show that the compensation and work motivation has a direct and strong correlation (r = 0.778). Compensation effect on employee motivation. This is evidenced by the results of t test where significance values count 0.000 (sig. 0.000) smaller than the number of significance table 0.05. Although the organizational culture and work motivation has positive correlation and quite closely (r = 0.656), but the organizational culture did not affect employee motivation. This is supported by the results of t test in which the probability value is 0.064 or greater than 0.05. Likewise, the leadership has no effect on employee motivation with a probability value (significance) 0.809, larger than 0.05 (t table). Thus, this study proves that the compensation has a big influence in increasing employee motivation KPP Pratama Tanjung Pinang. Conversely, organizational culture and leadership does not have an influence on motivation and needs to be managed better so as to encourage employee work motivation.
