Abstract

Indonesia as an archipelago country which desperately needs a great big budget to build all the infrastructures. To meet the budget of the government of Indonesia has a lot of debt to foreign countries. Foreign debt has become a burden of the people of Indonesia in the years ahead. One way to reduce dependence on foreign debt is to collect funds from the people themselves or invite investors to invest in our country. Sukuk is an investment in the form of Islamic bonds which have been issued since 2008. Sukuk issuance is to finance the state budget including project financing. In addition to providing an alternative instrument for sharia-based retail investors, retail state sukuk issuance also strengthens the Indonesian capital market. In the development of the sukuk market is very broad. This provides an opportunity as well as challenges and prospects for the development of Sukuk issuance in the next years. Sukuk issuance is intended to financing National Budgeting (APBN) and reduce the burden of Indonesian foreign debt. Through the issuance of sukuk, it is expected to participate in building the economy of Indonesia.
