Abstract
e-learning is an instructional media which it supports the Open University (UT) strongly, especially in dissemination of information, bearing in mind that UT‘students widely spread all over. Dissemination of the information can be received well in coveraged wide area by utilizing the most advanced technology. The rapid advancement of technology is used widely by various institusion, include UT. UT as an institution with the long distance higher education concept relies on the media as a means of communication. At these days, UT still use radio medium for communicating with students effectively. PTPN Radio, SAS Radio, Prambors Radio, I Radio, and community radio were sample research data in terms for searching technology format that can reach out to UT’ students in the coverage wide area. These research identified a range of commercial radio, streaming radio, community radio, utilization of the radio stations, so did technology used. Research identified the needs of academic and administrative information for UT students which it was according for integrated radio media information lists. The result of the research is the integration of the three kinds radio stations i.e commercial radio stations, streaming, and community radio helped UT potentially for serving UT’students in academic and administrative information things.
