Abstract

This research is aimed at knowing the influence of teaching skill subjects of Basic Education S1 Program of Universitas Terbuka on kindergarten and primary school teachers’ self efficacy. This research is a case study in Tangerang city. Respondents were taken from some kindergarten and primary schools around Tangerang city. The first step was to measure the level of teachers’ self efficacy using ready-used Bandura’s questionnaire. After that, the second step, some of the respondents were interviewed to deepen understanding about what they feel dealing with some self efficacy aspects mentioned in the questionnaire and what teaching skill subjects they still remember which have influenced their self efficacy. The result of this research showed that almost all the teachers have high self efficacy in all aspects except the efficacy to influence parents and society to get involved in school programs. In this aspect the self efficacy of the teachers was moderate. This research also has successfully figured out some teaching skill subjects that have influenced the teachers’ self efficacy.
