Abstract
This research is mainly aimed at analyzing competencies needed by teacher-students after completely learning subject Komputer dalam Kegiatan Pengembangan Anak Usia Dini/ PAUD4408 (Computer in Childhood Development). Another goal is to analyze competencies that should be taught by the teachers to early childhood students. Some questionnaires were given to kindergarten teachers in order to analyze the need of computer instruction in childhood education. Some of the respondents were interviewed to deepen understanding about their need of the competences. As a complement, some of group B kindergarten children were observed when they were using computer for learning. Data also be collected through an intensive discussion with a childhood education expert who interested in the area of computer utilization for early childhood education. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively to figure out what competencies should be the learning target of the subject.
