Abstract

Method of economic valuation is as tool that quantifiable economically on natural resources and environmental and describing natural resources potential in present condition of Banten Bay Coastal region. Meanwhile, remote sensing and geographic information system could help the spatial data updating of coastal region and examine its physical condition changes. In management level such as local stakeholder of Banten Bay region that economic valuation method could help the decision making of management scenario on coastal natural resources utilization. In 2008 total economic valuation of coastal natural resources of Banten Bay region, Serang Municipal, Province of Banten is Rp. 80.524.572.755,- that consist of economic value from mangrove ecosystem (Rp. 56.724.229.243,-), seagrass ecosystem (Rp.4.499.235.000,-), coral reef ecosystem (Rp. 19.156.665.000,-) and fisheries (Rp. 144.444.512,-.)
