Abstract

Internet users in Indonesia reached 132 milion people in 2018. Sosial media is the most widely used in Indonesia is facebook and twitter, even Indonesia occupies the fourth position as the most Facebook users in the world. Facebook is widely used as a means of political education in the election of regional heads until the election of ppresident and vice president in 2019. Political education is intended as a practice of political life that can directly or indirectly influence the formation of attitudes, pattern of response and appreciation of the people to their political life. It includes the political behavior of the characters acting as goverment leaders and political figures who sit in supra-structural institutions and political infrastructure. Therefore,political education through sosial media is aimed at introducing candidates from certain political parties in the 2019 presidential and vice presidential elections. However, ahead of the 2019 presidential and vice presidential elections, there are many links regarding political figures whostumbled overcoruuption cases. The purpose of this study is to analyze the response patterns of sosial media users to the political parties participating in the election of presidential candidates and vice president 2019 who stumbled on corruption cases. The resaerch method using questionnaire. The result of this research is the majority of society using socia media in their life. Sosial media most often used is instagram and facebook. They almost all see cases of corruption in some social media. This affects their views on future leader elections.
