Abstract

This research is done to discover the influence of leadership characteristic and working environment towards the synergy of organization in the Board of Woman Empowerment, Children Protection, and Family Planning/Badan Pemberdayaan Perempuan,Perlindungan Anak dan Keluarga Berencana (BPPPAKB) in Indragiri Hilir Regency, both partially and simultaneously . This research is an associative causal which means a cause-effect relationship done to answer three hypotheses, such as (1) there is an influence of leadership characteristic towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency, (2) there is an influence of working environment towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency, and (3) there is an influence of leadership characteristic and working environment simultaneously towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency. The subjects of this research are 30 officers of BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency taken from the whole population or also called as counting method. Hypothesis analysis is done by using statistic analysis in the from of doubled linear regression. Based on the result of the research and the estimation of t test, the leadership characteristic partially affects toward the synergy of the organization in BPPPAKB in Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir, and it is proved by 0,0001 significance value, which is less than 0.05 (α= 5%) and the amount of t counting is 3,752>1,660 from the t table. Then, working environment partially also gives significant influence towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency, which is proved by the significant value 0,033 less than 0,05 (α=5%) and the amount of t counting is 2,245>1,669 from the t table. Furthermore, simultaneously, F test estimation of the leadership characteristic and working environment shows their influence towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency. The coefficient determination test result (R²) gains the value 0,640 or 64% that shows the leadership characteristic and working environment give influence 64% towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency. As the conclusion, this research proves that the leadership characteristic and working environment give influence towards the synergy of organization in BPPPAKB in Indragiri Hilir regency, both partially and simultaneously.
