Abstract
Singing is one of many activities that everyone loves, among them many poeple who have a great voice but do not have enought techniques of singing properly. The Universitas Terbuka Jakarta Choir Club (UTJCC) as one of the members students of Universitas Terbuka who love to sing and shows the regularity of their talents and hobbies in the field of group voice, which stimulates, develops, and helps students to express themselves in the art of singing. UTJCC has a training session to compete and have regular training schedule to lead up to the competition especially in the pandemic covid-19 lockdown. The design is implemented so that the exercise can be done the with a well-organized work program with health protocol. Imelda as a choir coach and also student’s member applied three methods in training the choir team, specifically: linear methods, imitation methods and volatile methods. UTJCC achieved various achievements from regional and national competitions in this year in the pandemic covid-19 lockdown and made a great video from home of members of UTJCC for University’s Dies Natalis last september. The results showed that, the application of training methods linearly, imitation and volatile is very effective and shows good results, in both technical and non-technical terms, especially during this pandemic covid-19 lockdown.
