This research endeavours to thoroughly investigate the effects of integrating authentic materials into educational practices on students' intrinsic motivation and their listening skills. Employing a mixed-method approach, the study integrates both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring a holistic and in-depth analysis of the topic. The research sample consists of 70 junior hjgh school students from an Islamic private school located in Batam, from which a purposive sample of 30 students was selected for more detailed investigation. The findings reveal that the integration of authentic materials leads to a substantial increase in students' intrinsic motivation and significantly enhances their listening abilities. These findings emphasized that the integration of authentic materials into the educational curriculum represents a promising strategy for promoting heightened student engagement and the development of essential listening skills.
