Abstract
Character education need to be integrated in every course including S1 PGSD mathematics course program in Terbuka University. The aim of this study is to produce character education model through a valid, effective, and practical S1 PGSD mathematics program course. The product / result of this development of study is tutorial set: Tutorial Activity Layout (RAT), Tutorial Activity Unit (SAT), Student Work Sheet (LKM) and Evaluation Plan (RE) in mathematics course that contain character education. This development is done to S1 PGSD Pokjar Jetis UPBJJ-UT Yogyakarta students. The result shows character education model that developed in this study has been fulfilling the valid, effective and practical criteria. Furthermore, this model can foster students to develop independent study characters. This model also foster students to find their own learned concept. Students are finding their own concept, so that concept will last longer in their mind. As a result, students will be more capable to face a new study situation and to resolve their mathematics problem.
