Abstract
The purpose of Community Service (PKM)activities is to provide knowledge about snacks security, how to detect food additive,s formalin, borax, nutrients, and the effects of snacks on children's health. The target of this activity is grade 4, 5, and teachers of Elementary School, Pengasinan 01, Jl. Raya Pengasinan, Pengasinan District, Depok City. The variety of snacks sold are light snacks in packs, cilok, meatballs, cubit cakes, pancong cakes, crispy krepes, various breads, various fried products, various drinks either in packaging or made directly by the seller. There are snacks that are less healthy when viewed from color and unhealthy snacks that cause anemia and other diseases. The strategies used in this activity include counseling and the practice of detecting food security; extension of the effect of snacks on student health. The result of this activity is an increase in the knowledge and awareness of students and teachers about the safety of snacks and canteen needs to be made.
