Abstract
Recognizing the demands of the community to graduate students who are competent and able to adapt to the environment, the Al Khasyi'un Foundation which houses the Al Khasyi'un Ciputat Foundation Elementary School targets teachers in its Foundation to always improve the quality of learning in their respective classes. This need is taken up by the Indonesian Open University (UT) Economic Education Study Program (PEKO) by offering a Class Action Research (PTK) proposal development training as a community service activity (PkM) of PEKO Study Program lecturers. PTK which is part of the daily activities of the teacher provides an opportunity for the teacher to know the problems experienced by students, solve these problems, and take follow-up based on information obtained from PTK. The PTK cycle (planning, implementation and follow-up) allows the teacher to play a professional role. The results of this PKM activity showed that the teachers were enthusiastic in participating in the training and were able to produce PTK proposals as targeted. The collaboration between the PEKO Study Program and the teacher and the Al Khasyi'un Foundation provides benefits not only for teachers because of their increased knowledge and skills in planning PTK but also gives benefits to PEKO lecturers and Prodi because getting first hand information about classroom interactions will be significant improve the quality of teaching materials for PEKO UT study programs.
