Abstract

Universitas Terbuka (UT) is an open and distance education.Through this system, UT students has to study independently, especially in accessing learning sources related to their study. The objectives of this research were to describe the learning sources of agricultural extension workers graduated from UT, either internal or external sources. By using an explanatory research design and a census method, all population of agricultural extention workers in Serang, Karawang, Cirebon, and Tanggamus were used as respondents. Data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicated that agricultural extention workers graduated from UT used internal learning sources in terms of interaction with modules, tutorial, material courses, interaction in study group, and learning facilities; while their external learning sources were training, printed media, and non printed media. In conclusion, the agricultural extension workers graduated from UT, mainly used the internal learning sources compared to the external learning sources in order to support their study at UT.
