Abstract
This study is intended to investigate the correlation between learning independence, and learning achievement on the teaching skills both individually or in groups. For this purpose, a survey was carried out in the Teaching Certificate Program for Primary School (S1 PGSD) of Education Faculty in Jakarta. It involved 30 participants who were taking part in Teaching Skills Consolidation Subject of the selected program as respondents. They were selected through random sampling. A set of questionnaires and learning achievement tests were used to elicit data from these research participants. The students' learning achievement was evaluated using APKG-1 (16 items) and APKG-2 (66 items) which were validated by a group o( panels consisting of teaching experts and practitioners. The findings showed that there was positive correlation between learning independence and learning achievement on teaching skills consolidation learning independence
