Abstract

Cinangka Village, a 10-minute drive from Universitas Terbuka (UT,) has economic potential that can be used to improve the welfare of the surrounding community. By paying attention to the conditions of the field, the limited skills of the residents, and the availability of funds, it was decided to carry out community service activities (PkM) by managing rabbit farming. Rabbit farms were chosen because of the availability of land and rabbit feed, the ease of learning the skills of raising rabbits, the availability of food stalls for prospective rabbit meat buyers, and the availability of sales areas for rabbits. From this activity, it is expected that the community will have the expertise to raise rabbits, get activities in the form of rabbit livestock business, and optimize the surrounding environment for mutual welfare. In this PKM activity, the intervention was carried out by motivating the community to utilize the environment optimally, training the people to raise rabbits, providing business capital to start raising rabbits, and training the community to raise livestock products. The PkM activity was successfully carried out even though it was hampered by heavy winds and rain. PKM activities are recommended to be continued by facilitating the opening and development of simple stalls.
