Abstract

Urban agriculture is encouraged because of the reason for the narrower land in urban areas, while food needs are increasingly high due to the increasing density of the population. One of them is by the Regional Government of South Tangerang City. RW 07 Bukit Indah is located about 8 minutes walk from City Hall, worthy of being an example of urban agriculture because in 2016 it won the Toga Utilization Contest organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Health for South Tangerang, Banten, and National levels. In addition, they already have a Waste Bank, Farmer Group and Farmer Women Group. The constraints faced are lack of facilities and education about urban agriculture. The solution provided is to educate how to grow and pack vegetables to be durable, as well as providing plant stimulation with soil and hydrophonic planting media for 25 pilot residents. As a result, the residents were very enthusiastic about asking for their houses to be used as a pilot, exceeding the target. Residents also have knowledge about vegetable packaging even though it has not been practiced because the harvest of vegetables is consumed.
