Abstract

The research is called the influence of principal leadership function in improving the work ethic and quality of the learning to the state junior high school in the city kalabahi. The research purposes to know the influence of leadership principal in improving the work ethic and quality of the learning to the state junior high school in the city Kalabahi. Data collection method used observation by giving the questionnaire ( closed-ended )while the sample random sample use probability that the number of 78 respondents sample of the population. Data analysis techniques used the influence to answer the purpose first and second, while to answer the purpose third and fourth use the model regression. simple The results showed that ( l ) leadership principal influential positive and significant with work ethic received ha and so good ho.This is because the principal to carry out their assignment faced with many employees having work ethic varying this needs to the leadership training for school principals in order to increase work ethic, ( 2 ) leadership the school principal have had a positive impact and significant with quality of teaching so that received ha and turning ho.This is because the school principal of their duties coordinating teachers in implementing the learning process, ( 3 ) work ethic have had a positive impact to the chairmanship of the head of the school and received ha and refuse ho this is because work ethic and created at the time of the teachers have a very positive assessment of the results of work students and others teachers, each other put their views on work, work as a teacher viewed as activity meaningful for human life, work as a teacher is the process of that require diligence and infrastructure that important in to realize, ( 4 ) quality of teaching have had a positive impact on the Leadership head of the school and received ha and refuse ho. This is because when the quality of education want to be raised, the school principal have to take components for his components input components process, components director components teachers, components proper facilities and cost components, all the components qualified.
