Abstract

Model Of Nurturing Early Childhood On Daycare (Tpa) - Survey On Daycare In Jakarta And Tangerang. TPA is a place for educating and developing children to have a welfare. TPA has a function as a subtitution for their family for a range of time when parents are not able or not have enought time to takecare of their children because of their works or something else. The ages of young children who are entrusted to TPA are about 0–3 years. However, there are some TPAs that provide services for five year old children. The appearance of these kinds of TPA should be grateful as well as studied because information of these institutions is still rare. Moreover, a study of the contribution of TPA to the entrusted young children is needed. The purpose of this research is to uncover model of nurturing early childhood education based on their minimum standard of services in daycare. This research was conducted in five TPAs located in Jakarta and Tangerang, not only TPAs that are under development of Government but also TPAs that are conducted by private. Survey was employed as the method of this research. Questionnaires ware used as data qollection tools that consist of 59 closed questions about interaction between nannies and children. Besides, observation was also conducted in order to triangulate the collected data. This data was descriptively analyzed and simply quantified to make the result of this research simpler. It can be concluded that generally 66 % of the quality of nannies and children interactions is good. Based on the finding, a suggestion is necessary, that is: the quality of TPA has to be improved in terms of nannies qualification back ground education and interaction between nannies and children.
