This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share and Problem Based Learning models on the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities of eleventh-grade students at SMAN 2 Sijunjung. This study was a quantitative quasi-experimental study with a 2x2 factorial design. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for data analysis. The findings indicate: 1) the influence of the Think Pair Share learning model is greater than the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities, 2) the influence of the Think Pair Share learning model is greater than the Problem Based Learning learning model on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, 3) the Think Pair Share learning model has a greater influence on students’ mathematical critical thinking abilities than on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, and 4) the Problem Based Learning learning model has a greater influence on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities than on students' mathematical problemsolving abilities. The conclusion of this study explains that students' critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are more appropriately taught with the Think Pair Share learning model than with Problem Based Learning.
