Abstract
Google Classroom is a learning system developed by google for learning services (school). Google Classroom is designed to simplify the creation, distribution, and assignment of tasks in a paperless manner. The aim of this
study is to explain whether there are some differences in the students' analytical exposition writing skill taught by using Google Classroom and conventional technique, to explain whether there are some differences in the
students' analytical exposition writing skill with between independent field of cognitive learning style and dependent field of cognitive learning style and to explain whether there is a relationship between the Google Classroom technique and the students' cognitive learning style. To achieve the research objectives, researchers conducted a true experiment. The instruments used to collect data are tests and questioners. This research instrument was used to conduct pre-test and post-test writing and quetionnaires. Writing tests were carried out to obtain writing scores, while questionnaires were applied to determine students' attitudes towards media use. The type of statistics used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. To obtain pre-test and post-test scores using the normality and manwhitney test formulas, while to see students' attitudes through the questionnaires using the Guttman formula the researcher uses random sampling technique to determine the class of research. The research subjects are class XI APL 4 and XI APL 5. There are 32 students in each class. The researcher conducted the research in two classes. The first class XI APL 4 as the experimental class and the second class XI APL 5 as the control class. The experimental class writes analytical exposition text using google classroom, while the class uses conventional techniques. In analyzing data, researcher uses quantitative measurements to determine the results. Research findings indicate a significant difference in student grades between the experimental class and the control class. The value of the experimental class increased from an initial average of 79, 56 to 84, 78 after a trial compared to the initial control class 79,94 to 81,08. This test is very significant, because this test is tested using the normality test which is 0,357. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the use of Google Classroom in learning is more effective than using conventional learning techniques.
